The Well Wrapped Brown Package

I had several items of post this morning, one of them being extremely well wrapped with what appeared to be an entire roll of parcel tape all around the edges- now that is dedication to packaging!!! Once I had battled my way through the miles of tape, I finally got to the contents- my orange rainbow accordion book page and my first lot of snowflake inchies. Ah, I see you had forgotten about them- I am hosting a snowflake inchie swap, although as the deadline is today and I only have one lot then the deadline is being extended- I haven't even made mine yet!! Both of the items are from Hazel, and both are very lovely!

The back of her page is also really interesting, liking the stripes!

And finally, the snowflake inchies. I still can't get over how cute inchies are! These ones have a sort of rubbery texture so I'm assuming that the snowflake pattern is some kind of sticker.

White & Cream Postcards

I am literally shivering with delight at the deliciousness of the postcard returns I had in the post today. One of them, Annie, had a similar idea to mine with the lace flowers, but hers is more glittery, and the detailed cutting out in Paula's--must have taken some serious time. Now that's dedication!

A Brief Mention and Sheer Fabrics

A lovely and unexpected surprise came yesterday in the form of my sheer fabric ATC returns.
I never really know what to say about the returns I get, apart from 'lovely' which is definitely my favourite word- I shall have to make a list of other likely words and stick it on my pin board. So in lieu of an avid description, I shall let the images and the cards speak for themselves.

Also very exciting is that I was named on another blog!! Admittedly it was by a MMATC member (MixedMediaATC_UK for those who don't know that abbreviation) and she did ask me first, but still, a 'nice' bit of free publicity. If you would like to check it out, here is the link to, Poetic Mapping: Walking Into Art, edited by Ann Isik.

Rainbows & Alphabets

I am starting this month as I mean to go on- in an organised fashion (how long that will last is anybodies guess!) and have already finished this months accordion book page and alphabet swaps.

For the rainbow book this month's colour is orange! I have decided to try and do a recurring theme throughout all of the swaps so that my pages are distinctive, and are also quite easy to make. Obviously each will be individual, but I am going to put yo-yos onto each of them (instructions for how to make yo-yos are on my other blog if anyone is interested) to get a sense of continuity.

I also got cracking on with my alphabet cards- again my usual wire letter on an interesting background accompanied with stitches. I do try and vary the backgrounds though, and my hands are now blue because I used food colouring to get the vivid blue colour (adding to that other green and blue inks).

I think the letter could be highlighted more, but I couldn't find my usual wire (probably lost in amongst my various fabric boxes!) so the copper wire had to do! It has a vaguely underwater theme I think.

On The Wings of Love

The final set of Wing ATCs came today, possibly with a slight Valentine's Day theme...

Now I have the difficult task of swapping them out and choosing which ones I want to keep!!
