RAB April Green

So this month was the turn of the green page, and I have continued with the same abstract theme incorporating yo-yos, buttons and little stitches. Basically the same as the previous ones just in green!!

I can't wait to finish this swap and see the book put together!!!

Wildflowers & Texture With String

There has been a mad dash this weekend to get several swaps finished and posted off- somehow over the three weeks of Easter holiday they got sidelined and never even started which isn't good.
We revisited the wildflower theme and I decided to use my love of crochet to make little flowers (which remind me of primroses) and leaves to glue on.

I even put some little yellow beads in the centre. The background is painted muslin and doilies. They are quite bulky and heavy cards though, hopefully that shouldn't matter too much.

The Texture with String swap posed an interesting problem- did I want to make a card with string on it, or just have cards with a print on. In the end I tried both and decided I liked the string one better. I have gone with a kind of Paisley Design and I am loving the gold paint!

Alphabets

Oh my giddy Aunt! I have just realised that I have neglected to show you my final Alphabet cards. I am very excited as there are just two more letters to be received and then the Alphabet will be finished. I cannot tell you how much of an achievement this feels!! Anyway, here are my last ones...

And here is the second to last set of two...

Just to explain Sue's card as some of you may be wondering where the 'X' is. The pattern on the card is actually a 'Xyograph': a print taken from a wood block. This particular pattern comes from a vintage Indian wooden textiles printing block.

The Issue With This Blog

Hi All, there will be a flurry of posts in the next few days/hours as we are once more reaching deadline time with the ATC swaps. I find that the problem with having a blog dedicated solely to ATCs is that I only seem to post on it every two months. Still, you can always look at past projects to keep you going until I post again.
Here's one I should have posted weeks ago but never got around to it-- Felted with Beads! We are having lots more fabric related ATC swaps nowadays because we have promoted one of our members of the MixedMediaATC_UK to fabric administrator, so she organises several fabric swaps in amongst our general swaps which is really nice.

Here are my Felted with Beads cards.

I did enjoy making these!!
